This is my boys' all time favourite food, beef with vegetable. Today I am going to cook it with Brocolli and Cauliflower instead of my usual vegetable of Baby Kailan.
Ingredients:
1. Brocolli
2. Cauliflower
3. Carrot
4. Yellow capsicum
5. Ginger
6. Scallion
7. Garlic
8. Beef
9. Vegetable Oil
Seasoning:
1. Oyster Sauce
2. Light Soya Sauce
3. Sugar or Sweet Soya Sauce
4. Cooking Wine (Optional)
5. Corn Starch or Corn Flour
6. White Pepper
7. Sesame Oil
Method:
1. Marinate Beef with Corn Starch/Flour, white pepper, light soya sauce for at least 30 minutes.
2. Boiled water. When water is boiling, place brocolli, cauliflower and carrot for around 3-5 minutes without losing the fresh colour.
3. Heat the wok, pour at least 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil & wait for it to heat.
4. Fry the Garlic, ginger & scallion till fragrant.
5. Pour in brocolli, cauliflower, carrot & yellow capsicum.
6. Around 2 minutes later, pour in raw marinated beef.
7. When you see the change of colour in your beef, pour in the seasoning. I didnt indicate how many tablespoon or teaspoon as it will be up to individual preference.
8. Pour in water. As my boys like more gravy to be spread over the rice, I pour in more waters into it.
9. Pour in a tablespoon of Cooking wine. I use Hua Tiao Chiew in here.
10. Off the fire around 20 seconds after we poured in Cooking Wine. Serve on plate.
